Dr. Zamorano graduated from UCLA with a degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. He then went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Southern California. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, followed by an Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship at the University of Texas in Houston and a pelvic/acetabular fellowship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles. Dr. Zamorano specializes in orthopaedic trauma surgery, which consists of providing care for patients who have sustained fractures and other injuries. These injuries are often the result of:
Dr. Zamorano began his career as a professor at the University of California, Irvine, Medical Center. He spent 12 years as the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma where he enjoyed teaching Orthopaedic Surgery residents and medical students. In 2016, he came to Boise, Idaho where he became the Director of the Orthopaedic Trauma
CVErik K Hanson joins the practice with experience in Orthopaedic Spine and Trauma care. He also served in the U.S. Army for 24 years. Erik earned a B.S. in Health Sciences and also holds a Master Degree as P.A. from University of Nebraska Medical Center.
As a native Idahoan, he enjoys hiking, camping and the great outdoors with his wife and two sons.

Niki Cafarelli, a native Idahoan, joins our practice with several years of experience within the ortho trauma specialty. She attended BSU and graduated with a degree in Health Science, and then continued her education at ISU with her Masters in Physician Assistant studies.
You will find Niki is very patient and a great listener - she enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level beyond their injury. When she’s not at work, she enjoys her two dogs, boating in the summer and skiing in the winter.
Shannon is a Registered Medical Assistant. She received her training from the College of Western Idaho. Shannon has worked in Family Medicine and Orthopaedic Trauma. She brings her compassion for others to the variety and daily challenges of ortho trauma.
Shannon is another native Idahoan. She loves to read and to spend time outside. She enjoys cycling, hiking, and camping.
Ashley received her LPN in 2011. She has a diverse range of medical experience from dental assistance, Family Medicine, and Orthopaedic Trauma. Ashley is highly driven to advocate for her patients.
Ashley loves to continue learning. She is also a native to Idaho and loves all things outdoors - but especially boating, camping, and running.
Lisa has a unique position in our clinic where she works both as a medical assistant and a patient services rep. She has a very diverse medical background spanning from ultrasound technology, EMT, 911 dispatch, to insurance authorizations.
Lisa strives to make each patient feel comfortable and give them the time they need. She is also gifted with an incredible sense of humor, and uses that to lighten the mood as often as possible. Outside of her roles at the office, Lisa loves baking, being with her adorable dog, and taking her Jeep off-roading.
Allyson usually greets our patients as they enter the clinic. She is a vital component to our office by figuring out all sorts of mysteries and messes with insurances - a lay detective of sorts. Allyson earned her Bachelors in Health and Human Services. She values treating patients with respect and dignity.
When she is not figuring out an insurance or billing puzzle, Allyson enjoys a good conspiracy theory, baking, and visiting antique stores.
Joye is the newest addition to our administrative team. She provides excellent customer service as one of our patient service representatives. Joye has had a wide variety of administrative roles throughout her career. She is very compassionate and detailed - a great combination for medical clinic work!
Erica works as the practice manager, aka “chaos coordinator”. She keeps an eye on all the various administrative details. Somedays you may see her at the front desk or hear her voice confirming appointments. It is important to her that our patients feel valued and respected during this unexpected time of injury and distress.
Besides having an odd affinity for grammar, she enjoys her family, reading, and being outside as much as possible.
Bruce serves as the office mascot. He is ready at a moment’s notice to cheer or comfort! Bruce is a Bernadoodle: half Bernese Mountain dog and half Poodle (and hypo allergenic). He strives to be a very good boy!
